There are 2 Xwall Subscription Services available. These are optional features that enhance your XWall installation. Since these services require us to maintain equipment we need to charge a small fee. These services are not necessary to operate your XWall and you don't have to subscribe to any to update your Xwall. As for the past 10+ years Xwall updates. For example updating an XWall 3.11 from 1999 to the current 3.xx version is still free of charge.
Xwall CCS - Central Checksum Service
CCS is simple and effective. It catches the smarter spammers that send out spam by the thousands. Your Xwall takes a checksum of the message body and sends this checksum to our Central Checksum Server. Thie CCS server in turn logs the submission and tells your XWall how many times it has seen this checksum. Depending on your CCS setting the message will be declared spam or passed on. The service is available as a 1 or 3 year subscription starting at $149.00 for a single XWall or Xwall ISP.
MX-Backup Service
This is a bargin. I did subscribe to many mail backup services in the past and they just did not work well. Once Greylisting got popular these services were completely unusable. The spammers looked up the secondary MX and all the spam would flow right through the backup service. That's why we offer MXBackup. It uses greylisting too - no free ride for spam here. If your Xwall or Internet connection is unavailable our MXBackup stores all the messages and will send them to you when Xwall is available again. It is easy to setup and works completely behind the scene. Nothing to adjust, no tapes to load. The service starts at $ 149.00 a year.
